How do you make a lime green binder into something beautiful? Just add Designer Paper and Punches! My friend Carol made this for her friend Jennifer who is getting married. Inside are tabs for planning the wedding such as food, rings, guest list etc., as well as pocket to put in receipts, fabric samples, photo's etc.

Drowsy Hunter with Beagle Punch Art by Anita

Today's card is featured by Anita. This card was made for my husbands birthday.

Birthday Card for my Husband!

This card is dedicated to my husband who is turning 43 today!

I tried a fun new background by taking my brayer and wrapping rubber bands around the roller. The I rolled in onto versa Mark then onto my paper and then poured gold embossing powder over the inked up areas and set it with the heat gun. I did this a few times until I got the look I was going for. Once that cooled off I sponged a few different colors into the background and then took a paper towel and wiped off the embossed areas. What do you think?

Stamp Set: Totally Tools and So happy for you (SAB only used you from one of the sayings)

Paper: Not Quite Navy, Whisper White

Ink: Not Quite Navy, Cajun Craze, More Mustard

Punches: Modern Label and Word Window

Misc: Brayer, Rubber Bands, Versa Mark, Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Brads, Sponge Daubers, Aqua Painter and of course the Stamp a ma jig and post it notes.

I wish I could remember where I saw the person that posted her card that spelled out Love with the tools to give her credit but there is not watermark on the card. So credit goes to her for that wonderful idea!

Bunko Box

I was asked to contribute to a fundraiser a Bunko Fundraiser that is. So I thought it appropriate to make a Bunko Box with all the accessories. I used retired paper that had dice on it. I used a tin I had on hand to store the dice and the roving bunko which I made from a wood block I covered in white craft ink and embossing powder. Now everybody spells Bunko differently....some Bunco....some Bunko....so I just picked!

Card Portfolio

I found the cutest card portfolio tutorial on Flowerbug's Inkspot - LeAnn Greff's Blog. Please check out her full blog. Super cute! You can use the Note Cards that Stampin' UP! sells but I didn't have any on hand so I made my own note cards and envelopes. I had one envelope from the note card set so I opened it up and traced it onto designer paper, scored it and glued it together. Worked like a charm. I kept the note cards super simple and used the Ice cream Parlor Designer Paper I earned free during Sale-a-bration. Which by the way there is still time for you to get in on the deals. Sale-a-bration runs through March 31st. Don't delay, buy today! I donated this to a fundraiser I will be attending on Friday for one of the Junior High Schools.
Paper: Daffodil Delight, Ice Cream Parlor DSP (Earned FREE from Sale-a-bration), Pretty in Pink
Stamp Sets: So Happy For You and Sweet Summer (earned FREE from Sale-a-bration!!!)
Ink: Melon Mambo, Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive
Misc: Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots EF, Fun Flowers Bigz L, Ice Cream Parlor Ribbon and buttons (Earned FREE from Sale-a-bration)

Cat in the Hat Knows All About That Punch Art

On March 2nd we went to Family Literacy Night and our children's school. It was Dr. Seuss's Birthday. So in celebration of that this is my contribution to Cat in the Hat Knows All About That! Well my attempt that is. I took the basic directions from Ellen Kemper but my face didn't come out as I envisioned. Ben said the hat was the best part. I agree.
