Wolverine by Anita

Hello fellow stampers! It has been so long since I've posted. I've been recovering from a bilateral mastectomy with the beginning stages of reconstruction. So I am unable to do much with my arms. This week I am feeling a bit better and have used my arms to much :-( . But at least I was able to make a card and candle gift for a friends Birthday who happens to share a Birthday with my son. Which leads me to this card that Anita (my mom the punch artist) made for Aiden. He was into Wolverine so she thought she would give that a go. I think she got it. One thing that helped was the Buzz Lightyear that Ellen did which you can see here. I wish I could of gotten Aidens reaction on camera. He was more thrilled with that card than anything! I wanted so badly to make the Buzz Lightyear but I just couldn't do it. Too much punching for these sore arms.
Thanks for looking.

Fall Basket Card

This is a basket card inspired by a wonderful blogger....I am trying to find the name...I will edit when I do. I did a basket weave in the back then used the scallop oval bigz die and punched 3 ovals then embossed them with the polka dot embossing folder and sponged the edges. The black birds are punched with: 1 3/4" circle, 2 step bird for the wing, photo corner for tail feather and legs, 1/4" punch for eyes. A bit of craft white sponged on the black.

Stamp Club Halloween Card

Isn't this a cute Halloween Card using the new Spider Web Embossing Folder located in the SU Mini. I cased this card from Jackie Topia who had a great video too. I went a little crazy with the smootch spritz. O' Well. Our focus was punch art! See tomorrow for the next card. :-)

Beach Babe!

I made this card for my friend Krissie to give to my mom Anita who just spent 2 weeks in Hawaii. Before Anita went to Hawaii she designed a punch art princess for Krissie's daughters birthday invitations which I will post soon. I was inspired by Megala3178 at SCS who was inspired by Lynn Pratt. Thanks ladies for your inspiration! Too cute!

Items used: Word Window Punch (Leg and flip flops), Butterfly(body) Punch, Photo Corner Punch (arms), Scallop Circle Punch (Hair and sun glasses), Sizzix Body (for head and neck), Ribbon for bathing suit, retired designer paper for towel. I brayered the background. Added the new pearls SU sells for earrings.

Because I Care Birthday

Yesterday was my Mother-in-laws Birthday. I usually make her a card with blue in it but I really wanted to try and use Concord Crush. So I whipped out my new color coach and away I went. I chose Because I Care Hostess stamp set. I just love this hydrangea. I also used my Big Shot (of course!) and the Square Lattice embossing folder, as well as the scallop oval punch and the large oval punch. The bow is made with daffodil delight ribbon. TFL

Rhinestone Purse Hook

I am loving these purse hooks. Here is another one I made using the Jewels Basic Rhinestones. The picture doesn't do it much justice IMO. Put in a cute sachet or a tin with a belly band and you have a great gift for someone. I found these at Oriental Trading Company and used the search "purse hooks". You get 3 for $9.99.

Purse hooks are finally here!

I am so excited to finally have my purse hooks here to decorate. Wouldn't this make a great stamp class? I just whipped out these first two with out much thought. So they are pretty basic. The first one I stamped with a flower then clear embossed it, then sponged in daffodil delight. Put a rhinestone on and covered it with crystal effects. The second one was made doing the twisted ribbon rose method and placed on with a jumbo glue dot. What do you think? Is your mind swirling with possibilities? Let me know...I'd love to hear other ideas. These would make great gifts. Thanks for looking.

Hawaiian Babe

I had so much fun creating this Hula babe. I bought this Body Sizzix die on the clearance rack at Michaels for $4.99 as well as the hair. The skirt was punched with the large oval then cut to look like a grass skirt. The coconuts are choc. chip brads. The tree is the scallop oval punch and cut slits into it. The coconuts are embossed with square lattice embossing folder. The flowers in her hair are the itty bitty shapes. The sunglasses are made from the scallop circle punch (inspired by Ellen, of course, from Blinkin', Thinkin', & Inkin'). The background I brayered with Creamy Carmel then sponged with choc. chip to look like sand. The ocean is tempting turquoise and the sky is bashful blue. I used the scallop circle punch to make the clouds. The drink is from the Cheers to You stamp set. I cut out the drink and then put on Crystal Effects. All that is missing is a little sun shine. I think I will add that. Happy Birthday Morgan. This ones for you!
Thanks for looking.
