Pin Cushion Button Jar

The other day I stumbled across a cute blog and found this tutorial to make a pin cushion. This one was made with a canning jar, fabric, ribbon, glue gun and of course The BIG SHOT! I don't do much these days with out using the BIG SHOT! I just love it. The projects are endless. Please check out Sherry Stampin Bella for her tutorial. I filled my jar up with buttons I had.

Deer by the Lake (Noble Deer, retired)

I love tying to work with my brayer and doing the Michelle Zindorf Tutorials. She did one similar to this except she didn't have a Buck on hers. You can see Michelle's here. Have a great day!

Carnival Ticket Invitation

This is the invitation that Aiden received for a birthday party. Isn't it cute? Becca made this with her cricut. She is a cricut queen. I have no clue how to use mine. Check her blog here.

Birthday Princess

I made this card for Aiden's friend's Birthday. She turned 5. I am not sure she looks like a princess. She looks like an armless princess. But if you look close enough you can see her arms are behind her back. Her wings are made from the Bigz Butterfly Die with Vellum and then used the chunky glitter to accent the wings. The designer paper is retired.

Diaper Cake

I love doing these diaper cakes! This time I covered the outside of the diapers with receiving blankets to look like frosting. Added some ribbon and some Daisy #2's, a cute little doggie on top and voila! Of course I had to do the baby buggy card to go along with it. I've done one before a month on so ago. The baby carriage was seen on Sandi Maciver and the baby was from Ellen at Blinkin Thinkin Inkin.

Guest Puncher - Deer Hunting Season by Anita

Well Anita strikes again! She keeps amazing me with her life like punch art. The instructions are such a bonus too. I know she spent many hours putting this together. Many years ago Anita was a toll painter so she whipped out one of her old paintings and got her inspiration from there.
She started off my learning from Ellen at Blinkin Thinkin and Inkin. If you haven't been to her site please check it out. She does amazing punch art too. There happens to be a blog hop going on too. So join in and check out all the other blogs as well.

Flamless Tea Light Fancy Favor Box

I used the Fancy Favor XL Bigz Die to make this box. I used the 2 3/8" scallop circle punch and some vellum. Stamped the image in Craft Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. They are real cute at night.

Dream Garden Shadow effect

This card shows how to do a shadow effect. First you stamp the image in the same color as the paper. In this example I used Bravo Burgundy paper and classic ink. Then I used my stamp a ma jig with the image already stamped onto it and slightly offset the image and stamped it again using Craft White. This is a very quick and simple card. The dimensions are 4 x 8 scored in half. Very Vanilla 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 and Bravo Burgundy 2 3/4 x 2 3/4.

Dream Garden Reflection

For my stamp club we did a Michelle Zindorff card. I also did a slightly bigger version of this card at Tracey's stamp club. I really enjoy brayering although I know it is not for everyone. For the background I used Daffodil Delight and also embossed it with Elegant Lines Embossing folder. The reflection was placed on by using the smooth side of the stamp a ma jig. Then the top half was stamped in Craft Black and embossed with clear embossing powder. After that I went over the embossed image with a Versa Marker to preserve the detail in the robe and fan. After that I brayer the upper right corner and lower right corner with tempting turquoise. I sponged Daffodil Delight on the left center side and in the middle I masked off between the reflection and the main image and sponged Old Olive and then a tiny bit of Basic Black then flipped over the card and sponged Old Olive again. I used the White gel pen to create water ripple marks in the water. For more details see Michelle's website. She gives great tutorials.

Happy Birthday Ben!

This past weekend was Ben's 7th Birthday. We celebrated with family and friends on the coast. It was so much fun. Ben's grandma (Anita) made him the cutest card of his dog Bear Bear. He was very thrilled! I a a bit behind on posting...sometimes life just gets super busy and now school started.

Stamped Flagstone

I had this flagstone at home that we used in our pathway in the back yard. I took this piece and used the Elements of Style Stamp Set.

1. Stamp hummingbird onto tissue paper (the gift wrap kind) then stamp a post it note and cut the hummingbird out and mask the bird on the tissue paper. Then stamp the flower blossoms so the hummingbird looks like it is getting nectar from the flower.

2. Color your image.

3. Cut image out as close as you can to leave as little tissue paper around image.

4. Paint an even layer of Mod Podge onto flagstone then lay stamped tissue paper onto wet Mod Podge. Be careful not to wrinkle the tissue paper. Next paint and even layer of Mod Podge over the tissue paper. Let dry then seal.

Elements of Style Birthday

This is a card a made for Krissie's Birthday. I used River Rock, Elegant Eggplant and a retired SU card stock. I used the Big Shot Top Note Die then stamped the image with the Elements of Style Stamp Set then used the Square Lattice Embossing Folder after I colored the image with SU markers. I even spritzed a bit of Smooth Spritz for a little birthday sparkle. Stay tuned tomorrow for the birthday gift....stamped flagstone.
