Pre-School Graduation Announcements

I can't believe my baby is graduating pre-school. These are the announcements I made using the Big Shot (of course!) and the scallop square die. The tassel is some retired grosgrain ribbon that I de-threaded and attached with a brad. That's it! Super simple but cute!

Cracked Glass Butterfly

I was going for a vintage look here. I stamped the back ground with Elements of Style then I wrinkled up the paper and unwrinkled it and tore some edges off then sponged the edges. I also used the silver foil Smootch Spritz. The butterfly is from the Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die. I then stamped it with the Elements of Style flowers, colored them in and then stamped the top w/ versa mark and added glassy glaze and heat embossed. I did this two times then put in the freezer to cool for a few minutes. Once I took it out I bent it this way and that way to give it a "cracked" look. I am not sure if the picture really shows the cracks.

Puse card

This is a top note purse. First I splattered the kraft card stock with Rich Razzleberry using the color spritzer tool. I took some designer paper and ran in through the Big shot with the top note die, folded the top not to look like a purse then added some ribbon for a handle and a flower using the 5 petal flower punch for an accents.

Garden from the Heart Hat

I started out by brayering color onto a texture plate then laying a piece of whisper white card stock with the big shot texture accessories to get this background look. I used black embossing powder for the hat then colored it in with an aqua painter and reinkers.

Card tote trio

Here is a cute Trio I did on Sunday. A card tote to hold some cards. I cased the Elements of Style (vintage) from Dawn Griffith. She made a card so I put mine on this tote. Then I made a step card and a card doing emboss resist. Thanks for looking. Please feel free to ask me any questions. Don't forget to check out the Summer mini that has th is beautiful stamp set Elements of Style. And of course the Smootch Spritz. Here I used Log Cabin and on the birds I used Vanilla Shimmer. I cased the tote from Carol Taggart. She hadn't had the deminsions yet so I just guessed. Well on Monday she posted the dimension and I have to say I was so right on!

Step Card

I learned how to make this card from Dawn Griffith. It is called a step card. Pretty simple too. I think I might show my stamp girls how to make a step card on Friday. I used Elements of Style. I really love this set. I stamped the hummingbird in pretty in pink then used the Vanilla Shimmer Smootch Spritz another love of mine. Can you see the shimmer on the bird? Enjoy!

Sunshine Award!

Look what I recieved from Chelsea Morning. I feel so grateful! Thank you Chelsea! Please check out her blog here.

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all! I shopped at Williams and Sonoma for my mother and their signature wrapping paper is a pineapple so I thought I would make a pineapple card. First I ran my card stock through the Big Shot texture plate then sponged in More Mustard. I used the Wide Oval punch and punched out 12 ovals. I used the scallop oval punch in Old Olive for the leaves and sponged them with Old Olive. The base is Kraft soon to be Crumb Cake. I sponged the edges with Chocolate Chip. Enjoy.

Teacher Appreciation Week

So this week was Teacher Appreciation Week. I finally got my projects done this morning Friday)! Nothing like waiting to the last minute. I found the idea for the saying on SCS.
The first one I made was out of a cookie tin. The second one was made from a chipboard book box and decorated with designer paper.

Teacher’s Survival Kit

Animal cookies for when your classroom seems like a zoo.
Band-Aids for when things get a little rough.
Chewing Gum to help you stick to it.
Crayons to color your day bright and cheerful.
Candle for when you are up late grading papers.
Eraser to remind you everyone makes mistakes.
Lifesavers For when you've had one of those days.
Marbles to replace the ones you've lost.
Mounds Bar for the mounds of confidence you give your students.
Paperclips to hold it all together.
Pencil to "write your wrongs."
Rubber band to remind you to be flexible.
Shiny Penny to remind you that each will shine in his or her own special way.
Starburst to give you a "burst" of energy when you need it.
Tissues to wipe away the tears...yours and theirs.
Toothpick to help you "pick" out the good qualities in others and yourself,
and a prayer for you to say at the start of each day.

God, please help me,
to strengthen their voices,
bodies and minds,
to express their feelings and
control them sometimes,
to explore what's near
and venture afar,
but most important to love
who they are.
Thanks for looking! I am off to the Susan G. Komen Walk tomorrow! I am walking as a SURVIVOR!

Cowgirl Up! for Mother's Day!

I am sorry I haven't posted in a while. My mind has been very busy. BUT I do have a guest puncher today. Who? Well Anita, of course! First we went to Ellen's Blinkin', Thinkin' & Inkin' for inspiration and found the horse. But we could not find a cowgirl. So Anita had to use her skills from all that she has learned from Ellen and she made Cowgirl Deb! Isn't she the cutest? This card will be for my sister Debbie for Mother's Day. She loves horses!
I do hope to post some of my own work by tonight or tomorrow as I am working on some Teacher Appreciation gifts. I HAVE to get them done tonight and delivered in the morning. I am leaving town tomorrow with my BFF to be in the Susan G. Komen Race for a Cure on Saturday morning.
As always....thanks for looking!
