Many Thanks

Last week I received this hand made card from Becca (the Cricut Queen). As we all know I love to make hand made cards but to receive one is even better. Thanks Becca!

Easter Basket

I've really been trying to use up retired designer paper. I saw a cute bunny and basket on http://www.mercedesweber.blogspot.com/. I just used 4 of the scallop envelope die for the Big shot. For the handle I used the scallop trip border punch. The bunny is made with the 1 3/4", 1 3/8", 3/4" , 1/2", 1/4"circle punches, large and small oval punches. TFL

Hawaiian Easter Flower

This flower was made using the XL Two Step Bird Punch. The flower is a Heliconia. I found awesome directions on this flower at http://www.annscreativemoments.com/. Check it out as hers is beautiful. I will be sending this to my mom for Easter. My mom loves Hawaii, as do I! I am looking forward to our trip to the Big Island in September. In the back ground I used a texture plate. Get out your sponge daubers. You will need it for this project. Thanks for looking.

12 x 12 Easter Scrapbook pages

Today I am doing a scrapbook workshop for Amy and her family and friends. I used the Big Shot Top Note Die to make the bunny along with various oval/circle punches. The carrot top is the snowflake punch. The Tulips are made from the XL Two Step Bird. The vase is the Ornament punch. The small flowers all over the page are the trio flowers. Inspiration came from Nicolette @ SCS.

Simple Thanks

This is the most simple card I have ever done.

Pretty in Pink paper and some whisper white, the Ribbon of Hope Stamp and a Thank you! Scallop Trim Border, done!

I just love the XL Two Step Bird Punch. This card was inspired by Becky Roberts. I used the Fusion Flower Sizzlit to make the cute little flowers. I also used the scallop trim border and corner punches as well.

Think Pink!

I am trying to use up scraps from designer papers. I love the glitter on this. The flower is made using the XL Fancy Flower in the mini occasions. I spritzed the paper 2 times then crumpled t hem up into a ball (punched 5 of them) then un-crumpled and punched a whole in the middle of each one and layered them on a brad, pull up the petals and scrunched them around a bit to get the look I was going for. Once it was try and used the two way glue pen on the edge of the petals then dusted it with dazzling diamonds for some more glitter!

Thank you for your support cards

For the next few days or so I will be uploading Thank you cards for the folks that have been donating money to Susan G Komen Race for the Cure where I will be walking as a Breast Cancer Survivor in May. I really appreciate their donations.
for this card I used the In Colors and Razzelberry DP. The flower is 5 scallop circles crumple up in a ball then un-crumple (is that even a word?) then poke a whole in the center and add a brad and stack them on. Close the brad and pull up each layer and "scrunch" to get the look you desire. This can be done with card stock as well, just spritz with water first then crumple up into a ball, etc. The leave is a sizzlits.

Denim Fancy Flower Pins

I am at it again with the Fancy Flower Pins. This time I went through my closet and was tossing out some denim jeans and thought I would recycle them. I think they are darling but I know they are not everyones "thing". But they are certainly fashionable. I see them popping up everywhere from purses, wearing them etc. I couldn't decide what color background I liked when I was taking pictures of them so they are here twice! LOL
I stacked them two different ways. The one with the white button....I folded each flower in half and then altered the color denim and glued them together with a hot glue gun. The one with the yellow corduroy button (SU!): I just layered two of the same size flower off set then set the next size flower, etc. Again glued with the hot glue gun. These flowers were made using the Big Shot and the Fancy Flower Die.
Thanks for looking,

Masculine Birthday Card

Well I will be the first to admit I have the hardest time creating masculine cards. I needed a card for my hubby so this is what I came up with. He just had a lift and new wheels and tires put on his truck (mid life crisis, I guess) so I thought I would use the truck from Loads of Love and alter it. We also camp a lot with our trailer so....well you see where I am going with this.

Color Challenge

Today over at Begin the Journey Stamp a Creation she posted a color challenge. The colors to use are Rich Razzelberry, So Saffron, Old Olive and Whisper White. This is what I came up with. Sadly it didn't photograph well. I used Vintage Vogue and embossed the Rich Razzelberry, the whisper white went through the polka dot embossing folder and the tulips and leaves were created with the Extra Large Two Step Bird Punch. I even embossed the Old Olive Satin Ribbon. I suppose I got over excited with embossing. Sometime too much of a good thing is just too much.

Easter Card

I thought this would be fun...to put an Easter Basket on a card using the Baskets & Blooms Die. I also ran the basket through with a texture plate Kit #4.

Stamp Set: A Good Egg
Paper: In colors, Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Paper
Punches: Scallop Circle, Word Window, Modern Label, 3/8" circle

RAK Breast Cancer

I recieved the top card from Emily! She said when she saw this stamp it reminded her of me! Boy was she right! So she sent me the card with some images stamped. So I made a card (the one in pink) for a friend at work that took over for me while I was out dealing with breast cancer. Now I am fully recovered and back to work. I do not know who the maker of the stamp is.....I know...not an SU stamp...but sometimes you just have to use something else and this one screamed at me to use it! LOL I love the saying the most. If you can't see it it says "Of course the're fake! My real ones tried to kill me! ROFLMAO!
