Pop up Birthday Cake!!!

I have had this 3 tier pop up cake die for many months now. Yesterday I decided to take the plunge and make a birthday card for my friend Jamie in New York. The more I assembled it the more excited I became. Items used:
Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Orchid Opulence, Cottage Wall Designer Paper, Flower Fantasy Printed Window Sheets, vellum
Big Shot: 3 tier pop us cake die, Flower Daisy #2, Beautiful Butterflies
Punches: Large oval, scallop oval, ticket corner
Misc: sticky strip, snail, cosmo glitter, brads, white gel pen
How did I adhere the Window Sheets you might be wondering? Well I was wondering what to do about that to....Patty Bennett had the solution by using brads for the center of the flowers. Sweet! Thanks Patty!

Medallion Christmas

This stamp reminds me of a big ornament. I stamped it in versa mark then sprinkled it with heat and stick powder, heat embossed then sprinkled the red cosmo glitter and heat embossed again.

I'll have a Blue Christmas.....

I made this card for my mom using Lovely as a Tree stamped in Night of Navy then stamped over it again w/ Encore metallic (silver). I embossed the front of the card with Petals a Plenty. Used some organza ribbon and a couple of punches (word window and modern label). Merry Christmas stamp is from the Teeny Tiney Sayings. I saw this card similar on Dawn Griffith's Blog.

Elegant Bouquet Birthdays

With this Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder for the Big Shot I used Popin' Pastels. I used my Versa Marker to color in the petals then used the Stampin' Up! Chalks and rubbed it on with a sponge dauber. Unfortunately the picture is blurry! :-(
Here is the envelope that I embossed as well. So pretty.

With this card I used my two way glue pen then sprinkled on Dazzling Diamonds. I really love the embossing folders, can you tell? LOL

Santa's gone camo!

My mom's man friend is really into hunting and target shooting so she made him this Camo Santa Clause. She used stickers as her embellishments but the rest are punches, of course!

Cheers to you Santa and Mrs. Clause

Mr. and Mrs. Clause look like that are saucin' it up! My mom made this card for a friend of hers who love their Martini's! She got the idea from Ellen Kemper @ Blinkin', Thinkin', & Inkin'. Ellen comes up with the cutest creations. Check out her polar bear today!

Reflections

Here is my first attempt at doing a reflection. I saw this same card in my Stampin' Success Magazine. I thought is was so beautiful. I can see some things I'd do differently the next time but for a first attempt I like it. :-)
I brayerd a bashful blue piece of card stock with Night of Navy ink. Then I stamped the trees from Lovely as a Tree in Night of Navy too. I used a glue pen to add to Dazzling Diamonds to the trees and a white gel pen to make the "water" ripple.

Lovely as a Tree

This card is made using Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip and To the Nines Designer Paper. Lots of layers! I water colored the tree with Water Color Wonder Crayons and an Aqua Painter. The "With Sympathy" is from a retired Stampin' Up! set.
I hope to get on to my Christmas cards soon. Something more cheery! Thanks for looking.

Close as a Memory

Card #4 using Close as a Memory. The background is a texture plate for the Big Shot and then sponged to make it pop.

With Heartfelt Sympathy

Here is card #3. I used Brilliant Blue card stock and Azure Designer Paper (retired). I punched a butterfly in vellum card stock with the Butterfly Punch and I added some half pearls from the Pretties Kit. Other punches used were the Eyelet Border Punch and the Ticket Corner Punch. I stamped some butterflies on the card stock and now wish I hadn't. Stamp sets used were Close as a Memory and Flight of the Butterfly.

With Sympathy

My dear friend Lisa passed away on Tuesday from H1N1. She was way to young to go. I made sympathy cards for her family. Lisa's favorite color was blue so I tried to make all the cards in some form of blue. These first two I used Brilliant Blue and Whisper White. The one on the left I used a texture plate and the one on the right I use the Manhattan Flower impression folder for the Big Shot. The Modern Label punch and Word Window punch were used on both. The stamp set I used was Teeny Tiny Sayings a must for all stampers. It is loaded with small sayings that are great for the word window and modern label punches from Stampin' Up!

Medallion Card

Here is a card I came up with using the Medallion Stamp from Stampin' Up! I also used the Merry Moments Designer Paper. I actually embossed the medallion by first stamping with versa mark then with real red ink then stamping onto the very vanilla paper and using clear embossing powder. A little bling in the middle and voila!

Punchy Moose!

My mom made this card. She cased it from Stamp-N-Design. Isn't he the cutest? He is made from Stampin' Up! Punches.

Wednesday, December 2, 2009

I saw this card on Splitcoaststampers and loved it. So I made one myself. I used the Dasher stamp, Merry Moments DP, Real Red Ribbon and the Petals-a-Plenty Impression Folder for the Big Shot. I used Shimmery White paper for a little sparkle and the scalloped oval and large oval punches.
As a side note I am so excited that today is my last day of chemotherapy! I know that radiation is next but this part of the journey is complete. So everyone shout with me "WAHOO!!!!"

Christmas Candle

Here is a candle I made for Christmas using the Medallion stamp from Stampin' Up. This is a large stamp and very versatile. I added a rhinestone brad (popped the stone out) for some bling in the middle.
