Club Trio (REPOST for the bookmark) & Day 52 Tuesdays Trio

For my stamp club project we are creating a Candle-to-go, Book Marker and a Tea Bag Holder.

To make the candle you will need 3 tea light candles removed from their casing and gently remove the wicks. Using an empty wiped out Altoid tin place two tea light candles in side the tin and put in the oven on 275 ish. It should take about 15 minutes +/- to melt. Just keep an eye on it. Once it is melted gently take it out of the oven and let sit for about 5 minutes. You will then need to place the wick in the middle. Take the third tea light and chop it up in chunks. Once the tin is cooled and the wax is set decorate.

To make the bookmark I used a 1 1/2 inch by 8 1/2 inch piece of card stock. Folded in half and layered more CS and DP on top and decorate who you see fit. I saw this here. I added some magnet on the inside bottom of the bookmark so when you book mark your page is will hold shut. I used Magnetic Tape.

For the tea holder you will need to cut your card stock at 3 1/4" by 9 3/4". Score 3 1/4" from each end. On the inside you will need to cut at a diagnal and fold in to create the pocket for the tea bag.

This is a repost for the 365 Card Challenge. My submission is the bookmark.

Texturz Plates/Embossing

Here is a sample of my Stampin' Up! Texturz Plates called Stampin' Up! Backgrounds 1 (item # 114512). Hope you can see all the detail. You use these with the Big Shot.

Here is a tip: Spritz your paper with rubbing alcohol before you run it through the big shot. It will help with the impression. You can also put a couple pieced of card stock under the platform which will also create a deeper impression.

Heartfelt Sympathy

These are my least favorite cards to prepare. But this one turned out pretty. I used my water color crayons directly onto the rubber then misted with water and stamped the image onto water color paper. For the paper I used Always Artichoke and Bravo Burgundy. I also used the Texturz Plates from Stampin' Up! to emboss the background.

This card is for a friend who lost her son this weekend. I can't imagine losing my child. My heart goes out to her and her family.

Marker/Pen Storage

I wanted to display my markers out on my craft table so I found these boxes at Michaels for $1 each. I used Rasberry Tart DP from Stampin' Up! to cover the boxes then I added a label for each color family using hodgepodge hardware (retired). I really like how they turned out. I still may add more embellishments.

Valentine Treats

I made these cute little Valentine treats for the people I work with. I cut the paper 3 1/4 x 9 5/8 then scored the paper at 3", 3 3/8", 6 3/8", 6 3/4". The 3" section I used the Eyelet Border Punch. On the bottom half I used the Scallop Circle Punch then used stick strip to close it up and added a Dove candy heart. Decorated the front w/ some DP and the Love You Much Stamp set. I also paper pieced the birds. I really like how they turned out.

Maci's Birthday Card

I know it has been a while since I've posted anything but it was because I have been down with the flu. I was the last one in the family to have received it. Lucky me! But now it is done! Right? Well lets hope so. I am posting a cute card for Lil' Miss Maci. She will be celebrating her 3rd Birthday tomorrow. I used all Stampin' Up! products except for the Got Flowers.

Stamp Set: Pick a Petal
Paper: Pixie Pink, Green Galore and WW
Misc: Silver brads and half pearls from the Pretties Kit. The number 3 was cut from my Cricut/Opposites Attract Cartridge.
