Masquerade Cake

My latest cake creation was for a Masquerade Birthday Party. I worked on this cake for about 7 hours (not including baking). Everything is edible including the mask...all though I would not eat it...that would just be sad!

Instead of wearing a mask I painted one on! Added some jewels and feathers! We had so much fun!

Zumba Cake Creation

As promised here is my latest cake creation. This was so fun to make and was a real hit at the party. 98% edible except for the dowels in the Zumba sticks and the label on the Gatorade bottle.

What I have been up to....

So what have I been up to since I have not been creating cards??? I've been playing with Cakes!

My Niece's baby shower. 99.98% edible...except for the eyelashes and antennas. Yep even the face is edible. I created the face out of fondant, the wings out of wafer paper and airbrushed with edible paint. I was pretty happy with the way this came out as it was my first 3-D cake.

So there you have it.....I will be working on a cake for March 24th....a 50th birthday and then a Wedding the first weekend in June.

Sympathy....

This card was made for my mom's friend who passed away of cancer last week. She loved red flowers. I helped my mom create this card using the Fun Flowers Bigz die for the Big Shot. She had never used the Fun Flower Die before so I showed her a couple ways to created beautiful flowers.
